Mt Roskill Granny Flat
"Ecopod was the best for price, aesthetics and materials,’ says Julien. ’We liked the way Ecopods were constructed – the materials, durability, warmth in winter with the double glazing and insulation, and the ability to keep cool in summer. ‘We visited the Ecopod workshop to see the materials and how they were made, and it was all top-quality stuff. And the cladding is great – hardwearing, low maintenance. It all looks very natural."
VIEW GALLERY Tāmaki Regeneration Project
We worked with BTL projects over the course of 18 months to replace old state houses in East Tāmaki across 3 sites with 18 Ecopod transportable homes. They were a mix of one and two-bedroom Ecopods along with a larger communal gathering pod. The designs were provided by the client with some recommendations from us.
VIEW GALLERY Woodside Bay Chalets Waiheke
This luxury accommodation makes the most of stunning views out to the Hauraki Gulf and provides visitors with a private retreat with a strong connection to nature. The two pods we built for the Chalets hosts and are often booked up and as one of the first projects we did remain a lasting testament to the quality and durability of ecopods.
VIEW GALLERY Waste Free Home Grey Lynn
A tight squeeze for a small backyard, this pod was just right for an extra room to act as a stock room and office for the online business the Waste Free Home. The natural timber lining and painted floor keep the space feeling rustic and low in volatile chemicals which is great especially for the little ones running around.
VIEW GALLERY Tiny House Pod Te Awamutu
A couple looking for a place to call home got in touch to see how we could help. We provided this comfortable home on its own trailer with untreated birch ply interior lining and elegant matt black tapware throughout. A macerator pump is used for wastewater discharge and caravan plug for power input, allowing them to relocate easily when needed.
VIEW GALLERY Native Plant Nursery
These two pods have multiple functions as offices, meeting rooms, teaching space, lunchroom and toilets for the team whose goal it is to raise hundreds of thousands of native plants each year. With such a high water demand, conserving and capturing water was an important part of this project. Hence, the roof runoff is stored for watering plants and we installed two composting toilets for the amenities. We took care of the building consent, foundations and decking too.
VIEW GALLERY Community Hub Coromandel
This off-the-grid conservation hub is as base for researchers, students and volunteers for learning, refuelling and resourcing for taking care of a 600Ha conservation project. Complete with composting toilet, solar panels and rainwater capture delivered to the middle of the Coromandel ranges, this project put the claims and capacity of the ecopod team to the test.
