Aging obliges us to adapt to changing circumstances such as health issues, finances, housing, and family arrangements. Many people find themselves with homes that are larger than what they need, want, or can afford.

With more older people in the population and smaller family sizes, there is increasing demand for smaller homes that are more affordable and offer single-level living. The tighter market for smaller homes means that some people intending to downsize have difficulty finding the home they want in the location they prefer.

One solution to this challenge is to buy a brand-new, custom-built offsite manufactured home and place it on land that is already owned, newly purchased or belonging to family members. Many of Ecopod Homes' recent and current customers are doing just that.

Changing regulations mean there is a growing opportunity to build homes on available spaces at larger properties. Regulation changes are making it easier, quicker, and more affordable to build and site a home up to 70 sqm.
